Today, towards the end of class, we learned how the
jet stream worked. What we, my 3 other partners, did, was, we were given a pie
aluminum plate with milk inside of it. Then, various food colorings were placed
in the container. We were then asked to make an “S” curve, and then a wavy
circle around it. It was neat. I was also interested to see that it looked
exactly like a map of a jet stream on the computer. During the day, we also visualized "snow in a bottle" due to the dry ice creating ice crystals on the glass. We also made temperature measurements on different surfaces outside of the research building.
