Today we all went to the national mall. We observed many different aspects of the mall that had to do with weather. One of many things we noticed that had to do with weather at the mall, was how the wind and rain made the small pillars on the mall be "weathered" a bit. The color change in the stone, that is, sandstone, seems to have been due to acid rain, maybe, or some other type of chemical reaction. We then toured around the rest of the mall, including the Washington Monument, and the Martin Luther King Junior Monument. After, we treated ourselves to smoothies and other beverages at Union Station.
